Merry Christmas

Every Christmas Eve we let Tyler open one present....he has finally learned it will ALWAYS be Christmas PJ's! This year he was excited to get to wear them and get ready for Santa.

This year we left Tyler's Stocking on his night stand in his room. He came running in our bedroom holding it with the biggest surprised look on his face. He couldn't believe Santa was in his room! Inside he found a Spiderman watch that he had asked him for. Tyler's big gift this year that he has been begging and begging for was a game boy. He still hasn't got used to the fact that we can actually take it wherever we go!
This is just for all of you ladies out there. My lovely husband wrapped my gifts all by himself....oh yes that box with the old shower curtain around it is for me!
After seeing what it was I forgave the wrapping.....how do you wrap a scrapbooking suitcase?
Charlie has been wanting an IPod for years so this year he got his wish. He also got an autographed Tom Brady Rookie card.

Piano Recital

Miss Heather's Piano Recital 2007

Tyler was challenged this year by playing "Hark the Herald Angels Sing"

He did so well, he never seems nervous for anything, unlike his mother who wouldn't even get up in front of people at his age! Enjoy the sweet music.

Papa's Birthday

WE celebrated Papa's 77th Birthday last week. Tyler wanted to carry Papa his cake....he didn't realize how "hot" it would be with all those candles! We didn't even put on the real amount....you wouldn't even be able to see the cake if we did that!

Tyler had to help Papa blow out the candles....

For your viewing pleasure

Wanted you too see him in action......please excuse the VERY excited daddy in the background!

Now watch him slowly creep up and then STEAL the ball! It would have been perfect if he had made the shot!

Was that Tyler?

Tyler's second favorite sport to play is basketball. Last year he had no clue what to do with the ball and he mostly just nervously picked at his hand and ran away from the ball. We didn't know what to expect out of him this year but he insisted he was "good!" Being the ever encouraging parents we agreed then secretly look at each other and laugh. This year his coach is teaching them "plays" He says the play name and they all dispurse to their appropriate position. That was incredible enough for us but to make it even more incredible was he made Tyler the shot man! We watched as they practiced this move in practice and thought well that is a nice thought but it will never work, they are 6 years old! Boy were we wrong! His first game was Saturday and it started a little rough as Tyler has to ease into unfamiliar surroundings. After that we didn't even recognize him! Our shy, timid, unagressive boy was a maniac on the floor! He was swatting and actually stealing the ball from the other team. The coach yelled the play names they have learned so far and all the boys did exactally what they were supposed to do, we were amazed! Tyler even made a basket! He was so intense but most of all he had FUN!!! We realize it is the first game and reminded ourselves that last year they won the first game and lost the remaining 10 so we are still hoping that this first game is the start of a second career in sports for our little man. Oh did I mention he is the second tallest on his team!
Getting the rebound!
Dribbling down court (see the tounge? He can't do anything without it out!)
Trying to block a shot
He shoots, he scores!
